We are located in the Apuseni Mountains of Transylvania, Cluj County, Romania — approximately 90 minutes from Cluj-Napoca International Airport. The final 12km is via forest road, for which we provide detailed directions and an optional shuttle service.

Egoist is primarily designed as an adult retreat. Children aged 12 and over are welcome. For families with younger children, we can occasionally accommodate family bookings in our two-bedroom cabin — please contact us to discuss.

Every season has its own magic. Summer (June–August) offers long forest evenings and wildflower meadows. Autumn (Sept–Nov) is spectacular with golden foliage. Winter (Dec–Feb) brings snow-wrapped cabins and cosy fireside evenings. Spring is green and wonderfully quiet.

We intentionally offer limited WiFi. There is connectivity in the main lodge for essentials. Cabins are deliberately WiFi-free to support genuine disconnection. Most guests tell us it's one of the best things about staying here.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome in two of our cabins with advance notice. Please contact us before booking. A small supplement applies. Cats and other pets cannot be accommodated at this time.

We strongly recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks in advance, particularly for weekends and the summer season. Peak dates (July, August, Christmas/New Year) book up 3–4 months ahead. For events and buyouts, 6–12 months' notice is ideal.

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), bank transfer, and PayPal. A 30% deposit secures your booking, with the balance due 14 days before arrival.

Packages vary. The Daybreak package includes cabin accommodation and breakfast. The Forest Weekend includes full board and one spa treatment. The Immersion package is all-inclusive. Please check our Pricing page for full details.

Yes. Gift vouchers are available for any amount, any experience, or a specific package. They make exceptional gifts and are valid for 12 months from date of purchase. Contact us to arrange.

Comfortable, layered clothing for outdoors, sturdy walking shoes or boots, a warm jacket (even in summer, evenings are cool), and minimal tech. We provide all bathroom essentials, robes, slippers, and spa towels. A full packing guide is sent with your booking confirmation.

Yes. We offer private transfers from Cluj-Napoca Airport in our forest-green Land Rover. The transfer takes approximately 90 minutes and can be arranged for both arrival and departure at an additional cost. Please request at least 48 hours in advance.

Smart casual is perfectly appropriate. We celebrate individuality over formality. The forest setting calls for comfort — you may find yourself dining beside a fire in walking boots and a cashmere jumper, which we consider entirely ideal.

The forest is beautiful in any weather. Outdoor activities may be modified but are rarely cancelled. Cosy indoor alternatives are always available, including our library, indoor hot tub, spa, and private fireside dining. Rain brings its own magic to the forest.
